Mississippi’s coach said he would rather not play in the conference championship game, a roundabout way of supporting pro-SEC changes to the College Football Playoff.

Texas and Texas A&M both control their own destiny for a spot in the SEC Championship Game with a 5-1 record against conference opponents thus far. However, one will join the logjam of two-loss teams when the Aggies and Longhorns meet head-to-head in a renewed rivalry to close out the regular season on Nov. 30.
