Chelsea goalkeeping coach Hilario has resigned from his position to become part of Thomas Tuchel’s backroom staff with England. Hilario has decided to leave Stamford Bridge after 16 years working at the club in order to become the head goalkeeping coach with England when Tuchel officially starts work on January 1.

Thomas Tuchel appears to have already irked England fans before even starting his role as national team manager. With the German boss waiting in the wings, Lee Carsley signed off from his interim role on Sunday with a 5-0 win over the Republic of Ireland, which secured the Three Lions promotion back to the top tier of the Nations League.

The former Blues boss, now overseeing the Three Lions, has reportedly lured an old colleague over to his new job.
