No. 15 Utah (7-2, 4-2 Big 12, No. 13 CFP) at Baylor (5-4, 3-3), Saturday, 7 p.m. ET (ESPN2)
For BYU, its path to the CFP — just like the path to the Big 12 Championship game — is very simple. If BYU wins out, including a victory in Arlington, the Cougars would have a guaranteed bid to make it into the 12-team playoff.
In fact, the Hotline would respectfully offer the following: Short of sheer and utter chaos in other conferences — chaos that cannot be explained by football physics or comprehended by the human mind — BYU and Utah have no path into the CFP’s at-large field. For both, it’s the Big 12 title or bust.
