No, the Dallas Cowboys have been officially eliminated from the playoffs. Entering Week 16, Dallas needed to win its final three games while the Eagles lost their final three games to flip the NFC East standings. But on Saturday, the Eagles already played, and they took care of business against the Washington Commanders.

The Dallas Cowboys have mathematically been eliminated from playoff contention with the Philadelphia Eagles win on Saturday.

The Cowboys pulled closer as the Eagles offense sputtered, and three defenders left a third-quarter drive with injuries. Cornerback Adoree Jackson (concussion) and defensive tackle Moro Ojomo (undisclosed) left on successive plays. Later in the drive, safety Reed Blankenship was hurt.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones placed blame on himself for the team not reaching the Super Bowl in the past 30 seasons.

After getting nearly no help for their playoff positioning on Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles lost to the Los Angeles Chargers in overtime on Monday Night Football. That gives Dallas plenty of hope with four games left to play.

Since then, much has changed for both teams, as they'll now face each other twice in the span of two weeks. The Eagles (9-5) are headed back to the playoffs, needed only one win or one loss by the Dallas Cowboys to secure their second straight NFC East title.
