No. 3 Iowa wrestling falls to No. 6 Iowa State during a star-studded clash in the annual Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series from Hilton Colosseum in Ames, Iowa.

Yonger Bastida provided the spark, Evan Frost and M.J. Gaitan fanned the flames and Rocky Elam closed Iowa State's 20-14 victory over Iowa in the 89th meeting of the Cy-Hawk Series men's wrestling dual Sunday at Hilton Coliseum in Ames.

Twenty-one years of dominance came to an end for the No. 3 Iowa wrestling squad on Sunday afternoon, as they fell to No. 6 Iowa State in Ames, 20-14.  This was head coach Tom Brands’ first ever loss in the Cy-Hawk series and the Hawkeyes’ first defeat to the Cyclones since 2004.
