OWENSBORO, Ky (WEHT) – Special Olympics Kentucky held its Region 1 Flag Football Tournament in Owensboro Sunday morning. 125 athletes gathered at Steel Stadium to compete with 13 teams competing to advance to the state flag football competition.

BURKBURNETT, Texas (KAUZ) - Burkburnett ISD held their first-ever Special Olympics Unified Flag Football game on Thursday, October 2, 2025. The game featured student-athletes with and without learning disabilities in a combined flag football contest. The night also featured unified cheerleaders and a unified drum line.
