Poland is paying for and will continue to finance Ukraine’s access to Elon Musk’s Starlink satellite internet system, according to Deputy Prime Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski.

Poland said on Saturday it has been paying for Ukraine's Starlink subscription and will continue to do so despite sources saying the United States could consider cutting Ukraine's access to the satellite internet system.

U.S. negotiators have reportedly threatened to cut off Ukraine's access to Starlink if an agreement on minerals cannot be reached, but Elon Musk denied the report on Saturday. This is according to "three sources familiar with the matter" who spoke to Reuters.

Poland's president will meet Donald Trump in Washington on Saturday, state news agency PAP reported, after he urged Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelenskiy to maintain calm and constructive cooperation with the U.

The White House posted photos of the meeting on X, which show the two leaders together, with Trump flanked by his national security adviser, Mike Waltz.
