A Georgia appeals court on Monday canceled until further notice oral arguments on an effort by President-elect Donald Trump and other co-defendants to remove Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis from the criminal election prosecution against them.

Donald Trump’s criminal case in Georgia is now on hold — indefinitely. The Georgia Court of Appeals announced Monday that it has canceled arguments that were set for next month in the president-elect’s bid to kick Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis off of the case in which he’s charged with conspiring to corrupt Georgia’s 2020 election results.

“We’ve shown the country that Georgia remains a red state, with big wins up and down the ticket,” said state House Speaker Pro Tempore Jan Jones, R-Milton. “We will take this mandate from the voters to continue lowering taxes, protecting our neighborhoods and quality of life, and providing more options for Georgia’s students to thrive.”
