The GT3 was trying to overtake the slower M2 when the collision sent both cars into the barriers, ripping the Porsche’s nose clean off

Last weekend, a BMW M2 and a Porsche GT3 RS collided at speed on the Nürburgring, resulting in a Michael Bay movie-style explosion that devastated both cars and a bit of guardrail. Incredibly, both drivers exited their cars on their own.

Northumbria Police said a woman in her 90s and another in her 80s died after a BMW that was reported stolen crashed into Highcliffe Care Home in Witherwack.

A judge ordered Carlos Martinez to stay in jail to face charges in a March 7 accident in which two people were killed and four injured.

In the now widely circulated video, the Porsche is seen rapidly gaining on the slower-moving, British-registered BMW in a narrow section of the track. As the Porsche attempts to overtake on a slight curve, the BMW appears to shift across its path, triggering a violent collision.

Cops arrested the apparent driver, a then 17-year-old named Carlos D. Martinez, and charged him with multiple felonies, including two counts of aggravated manslaughter and drunken driving. The Toms River resident is now 18.

The result was a terrifying 110+ mph PIT maneuver that pulled both vehicles into one of the worst places to crash on track. That location was an access road, where the trackside wall momentarily faced perpendicular to the road,
