Oasis paid a touching tribute to the late Liverpool forward Diogo Jota during the opening set of their reunion tour. Jota, 28, and his brother Andre Silva, 26, lost their lives in a car accident in the early hours of Thursday morning. The father of three married his long-term partner less than two weeks before the accident.

Liverpool cancelled preseason tests for a small number of first-team players on Friday following the deaths of Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva, with Mohamed Salah revealing his fears at returning to the club because “Diogo won’t be there” in a heartfelt tribute.
