The suspect accused of killing 43-year-old Przemyslaw Jeziorski, a Polish-born economist and marketing professor at UC Berkeley, claims he “did it all for” the victim’s former spouse, according to a leaked Greek police confession cited by CNN.

In broad daylight, in this typically quiet, suburban neighborhood of Greece’s capital, he was shot multiple times at close range, according to police. Jeziorski died where he fell, police said, his body riddled with gunshot wounds seen in grim photographs taken in the immediate aftermath.

Greek officials say the broad-daylight attack came one day after a custody hearing over the victim's 10-year-old twins.
